Frequently Asked Questions

What is Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP)?

Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) is a condition that occurs in 1 in every 2 women at some stage in their life, where the muscles and tissues supporting the pelvic organs (such as the bladder, uterus, or rectum) weaken, causing one or more of these organs to drop or press into or out of the vagina. POP can lead to discomfort, urinary or bowel issues, and a feeling of pressure or bulging in the pelvic area.
